like to know what i have to do to do this, or any sites or books that would be helpful in finding out what needs changed and what can be used of the old 4.1 eg radiator ,alternator , things like that

You will need V8 front springs, engine mounts, gearbox mounts, accelerator cable, front sway bar, drive shaft.
You can use the existing radiator, not sure about the shroud. 6 cyl power steer will also fit but you will need V8 brackets and pulleys if y

i have done this on my brothers xb falcon(6 to 8),and the xf is basicly the same car.what i suggest you do is go and buy a rusty(shouldn't be hard to find)xd,xe v8.this will give you everything from cables to exhaust,springs etc etc.you wont spend time an

oh i forgot.if you buy another car you'll use the auto and tailshaft.xd diff wont fit in an xf,xe will.like paul says just check with the rta.

i have a xf fairmont ghia with a 351c c10 auto 411 diff gears the car runs on av gas you need to modify the fire wall were the heater lines enter thats why you need a engineers cet the way i got around the engineers cet i have xe badge plates and its regi
