Hello Everybody, I am interested in installing a set of Blue dots in my Ht Taillighs..will try a spare lense first of course, so the question is. Glass or plastic ones ? And do i just drill a hole in the lense and glue these puppies in ? I am inclined to think the glass ones will be better... but not sure, so all advice here will be very appreciated. Are they illegal? Will my lenses crack if i drill them? Thanks in advance....
Handgunner..

Hi Handgunner.
I'm not going to ask you why you want to put round 'Blue Dot' lens on a rectangular tail-light lens, but personally I wouldn't put them on a farm tractor.
Yes, they are illegal (in NSW anyway) & yes you will probably break the plasti |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

why do you have to mount them in the lense itself - can't you use a glue that would stick them to the inside of the lens? If you are worried about the colours clashing, put them in the reverse part where it's clear..

The colours clashing is not the issue. The issue is that the blue will over-ride the red around it and will reduce the visibility of your tail-lights and brake lights....

Thanks all for the replies, i did not realise that these will reduce the efficiency of my lights, i like the color they produce , so i was just wondering..might give it a miss then and wait till i get a hot rod :-) Thank you.

They will be illegal. There are countless illegal things on cars out there, so that bit is your call. If it is not drilled in the right spot you will end up with a ruined lens and the effect not correct. They have to be in exactly the right spot and that |
