Hey People, i am trying to id my brothers HG monaro.
We know its a 80837 gts local v8 and paint is 11401 Kashmir white.
what we dont know is the trim, code is 1192-11X.
Is there a way of identifying if its a 253 or 308? currently has commodore 5.0L. and what type of gearbox.

Also we have noticed alot of stripe differences between the gts and gts 350, we dont know what it should have.

Any advice on these specs would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

For stripes look on the Yahoo Monaro club site in the files section. I put a copy of the Engineering drawing there. GTS's all have the same stripes, but non 1837 examples didn't have all the stripes as standard.
11X is the trim code for Antique Gold Viny

Just look in the boot at the flat shelf directly in front of the fuel tank, under the parcel shelf. If it is flat all the way along it's a banjo car and a 253. If it has a hump in the centre along the fuel tank interface with a corresponding hump in the f
