dose anybody know where i can get a accelorator cable for my 1980 mk2 2lt cause ford said they were a discontinued stock

im guessing that you would have to try aftermarket parts. if a place like repco or autopro cant help, then a motobike shop might help. they can make coustom cables to a set length and cheep too. just take you old cable in and they will make one the same l

thanks for your help gonzo but i dont have a cable cause it used to have side flow webbers on it and i need the standard cable because the cable i was using for the webbers wont work with the stardard carby

The only thing I can think of, seeing as you haven't got a cable to copy, is to get in contact with one of the Escort or Cortina clubs in your state. Also keep an eye on ebay and trading post. Did a quick google and came up with this.
