Hi, ever since I bought my EB last year, I've been getting a coolant smell when the heater kicks in. At first I thought it was the leaking thermostat gasket which I fixed shortly after purchase, but the smell has persisted. The cooland level drops very slowly and only needs a top up every few thousand k's, so nothing drastic is going on.

I fear that I have a leaking heater core.

I've had a look around and even removed the glovebox, but can't find the source of the smell.

Is there any way of telling whether it is the core, or any quick fixes I can try instead of having to pull the dash apart?

Thanks.

For example, any hose clamps I can tighten (not that I've found any in the cabin)?
