Anyone tell me what the engine number prefix is for a blue 253.

Hi Glenn.

If the Blue 253 is out of a Commodore the prefix is VR, if it's out of a WB the prefix is WR. The replacement unit is prefixed N5R & if it's out of a Bedford truck or bus it's prefix is BS (this one's a lo-comp engine with a Chev/Turbo bolt p
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0

Not sre for WB engines.
