Hi all, Heard through the grapevine yesterday that Calder Park has been closed for good. has anyone else heard of this?

I was out there on Thursday talking to the Fastrack guys, and It looked pretty open to me. There have been rumors for 10 years that it is going to close. hasn't yet. We all owe a great deal to Bob Jane, great place for motorsport

It might be a great place for your motorsport but Mr Jane has done stuff all for the drag racing community. There hasn't been any ANDRA sanctioned drag racing for many years except for the odd non sanctioned one off meeting and the Friday night street dr

Only problem is I dont think bob wants to speend the money.
i havent been in years but from what ive been told by a mate who has a UC torana drag car the track is all over the place and aint the best for grip either.

he can have plenty of decent events there, he has had many many offers.....problem is his greed, why do you think the place sits like a ghost town most of the time?.....and yes, we need a decent track were the $$ are put back into it
