Hi Guys, could someone please decipher these numbers? this is stamped on the top 23 3035 0 27 on the side is a stamped 'E' PS. i want to use this on a 186P with X2 headers, apparently it was previously fitted to it's original 186S motor. is it ok to give this to my mech. to fit? i'm also fitting a blue elec. dizzy is it neccessary to recurve it on a dyno? --- i'd rather hated for who i am than loved for who i am not. Hi 70 ute.
The 23-3035 carby was originally fitted to an HT/HG 186 S with manual trans, if that helps.

Dr. Terry, i want to put it onto my hk 186 with powerglide, will it have any problems with the rod operation of the kickdown? ie. different manifolds. can i assume it should be close to the correct jetting? Thanks for the help.

Hopefully Dr Terry will add to this.
The difference between the auto and manual carbys (at least for HK), is an additional 'spark hole' through the throttle body section of the carb. In other words, while you can match jets you can't exactly match the

and also... X2 headers don't have the choke riser which you need for the 186S carb's auto choke. Given there is probably less X2 than intact 186S, you need to swap that header for the right type for your heat riser.

i live in qld where most of the year no choke is required...is this still gonna matter? i plan to ditch the powerglide within 6 months. meh, that's why i'm paying a mechanic!
