Put V8 front discs and calipers onto my VL and was wondering if it would be worth while upgrading the master cylinder from the current 15/16" to the 1"?

I did that on a VH & the 1" makes a big difference with the 298mm front rotors & finned calipers.

If there were no changes to disc and calipers, would there be any advantage in swapping to a 1" master from the stock 15/16" one?

From my experience I'd say yes. When I first put the larger rotors & finned calipers (from a VP V8) onto the VH (which also had factory rear discs being an SL/E), I left the stock 15/16 & dual diaphragm booster on there, and the pedal was a bit l

Hi Guys.
You have to be careful with VP re the master cylinder type.

Earlier (VH & VK) 1" masters had the 2 front outlets at 90 degrees from each other - ie, one is vertical, the other horizontal. VL onwards have them both pointing downwards - the one closest to the motor out at about a 30 degree angle from verti
