how far can I go before pushing the friendship with a stock converter?
Is 20/60 the limit? or can i go a bit wilder?
what are the impacts to the vacuum mod settings of the tranny if any ( for a FMX )

Any help would be appreciated!

You don't really assess whether you require a high stall by the "20/60". You check the cam specs to find the working rpm range. Your heads if ported will also affect this. With a stock convertor I wouldn't be running a cam that starts and higher
