sometimes when i go to start my VS statesman it does nothing and the second time I turn the key it starts , this happens when its hot or cold any ideas ???

Hi Cloudy,

When you turn the key to the Start position, do all the ignition lights on the dash stay on and the radio, etc also stay on?

If yes, the battery in your keyhead is failing and needs to be replaced. Not sure about in SA, but in WA, some of

cheers Dave , thats what it has been doing and getting more regular, I`ll change to the spare key and see what happens cheers cloudy

The other trick for this for auto's is the gearbox lockout (that only lets you start it in park or neutral). Mine wouldn't start occasionally, but would kick into life when gear lever moved from reverse to park (or jiggled) while holding the key round on
