hi im new to the forums
i have are 302 windsor, on top of the pistons there is a number stamped on it 0.006 or i think 0.060 i want to know what that means,the engine has a high riser Edelbrock Torker2 inlet manifold with a 4 barrel 600 holly carb with 289 4v heads heavy duty valves an hydrolic lifters and valve springs im not shore about the bottom end
but got told mild cam ,the engine is complete an running .
now that leaded petral is fazing out , what is the best or should i say cheapist way of going about running it on gas or unleaded petral
an how much work would it take to convert the engine to run on unleaded ???

can anyone help

Hi Joe,

The 0.060 on top of the pistons means that your motor has been bored 60 thou (thousanths of an inch) over size. For most motors, this is as far as they can be safely bored. Usually, any further than that and the cylinder linings get too thin. H
