G'day all,
When you open the drivers door of my ute the speaker on that side goes silent, which may or may not be how its supposed to work, it doesnt really matter to me as long as it goes back on when I shut the door again which it does without fail, so it leads me to believe that its not a loose wire or something causing it. My question is (assuming its supposed to be like that!)how does it know the door is open, without using the interior light switch, because I have tried pushing the switch in and waiting till the light goes off, but still nothing until I physically close the door, Ive tried to work it out but it has me beat.
Cheers.Russ.

That's not right Russ.

The speaker should operate at all times regardless of the door position.

There are 2 wires in the door loom to the speaker, I'd say one of them has a break in it.

Cheers,

Mick
