Hi
I am trying to find out details of the current colour on my WB. Originally the vehicle was white, so the tag id is no good to me.
I have been told that it is a statesman colour - ????
It is maroon in colour with gold metallic flakes

As it needs to be repainted, i dont want to change it.

Any paint codes or infomation would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Sounds a bit like Venetian red from a VH commodore - it was burgundy with a gold metallic appearance.

They certainly did - well in 1982 at least!

Have a look at this scan of the '82 colour chart:
http://hometown.aol.com....orenut/VH_82+colours.jpg

The code for Venetian Red is 2F-010

Sorry Alan, I concentrate on the commodore era, and I'm not that knowledgeable with the early ones.

There should be someone on here who will be able to help, but you may be better off starting a new thread with a topic of "HR paint code help" or someth

599 is the combination number and 568 6459 is the paint code.

The combination number is the internal GM-H reference number for the external colour combination of a car and the paint code is the paint shop reference to mix the paint.

The combination

Hi Siggs.

Rocket Red is the correct name for the brighter red that is unique to HD/HR X2 & S engines. The EH/HD/HR 'normal' engines are painted a darker red, while all engines HK-HZ are painted in the more orange colour, called HK Rocket Red just to co

So what is the difference between the 2 combo numbers for Warrigal Black if the shade code is the same for each?
Also if this colour was used from EH to HQ did the paint type code change during the HK series like all of the others?
