Just wondering how hard it is to change the cam on a 308 in hx while still in car. What type of cam would be an improvement over standard without having to change converter

It's a bugger of a job, radiator out, valley cover off, valve lifters and pushrods removed, harmonic balancer off, timing cover off, remove old cam fit new cam, dial it in to get the correct valve timing, fit NEW lifters with plenty of cam grease and then |
202 and three on the tree, can't get more Aussie than that!! |

Cam specs need to match your usage and any other components you plan to change.
Speeds costs, how fast can you afford to go?

It is definitely a weekend job, rather than an overnighter. Removing the grill is also handy (to give you an extra path into the front of the engine). Dizzy is the bit that's most fun to get right afterwards.
