I have some information that suggets that some very early VNs use a VL style VIN.
I am trying to find the break point, or near enough, and also confirm that they actually used this on cars. I have the following VINs from production braodcast sheets.
8K19HHL294973N
6H8VNK19HJL297924
wHAT i WANT TO KNOW IS
1) has any got or seen a VN with the first type VIN
2) Has anyone got a VN with PSN less than L294973 that is not a VL type VIN
3) Has anyone out there got a VN with a PSN between L294973 and L297924 to narrow the gap.
Any help would be appreciated.

The date range is sometime in Aug '88 as I had an 8/88 one with a PSN of L298404, and it was the "6H8" style ISO VIN.
I'm not sure if it was Warren I spoke to regarding the front bars, or someone else, but I've never seen anything after '89 with HOLDEN |
Cheers,
