I have a V8 diff from a HQ ute and just wondering if the axles and centre bits will fit a sedan diff, what do I need to look for to find out which diff I have. When it comes to the diff housings are there any difference between the 6 cylinder and the 8 cylinder diffd.

Hi Fred.

Yes, the axles & diff internals are interchangable between passenger & commercial diffs in the HQ V8 Salisbury. You really need a diff guy to swap & set-up the crown wheel & pinion though.

The 6 cyl HQs (exc. 1 Tonner) use a banjo diff, not
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
