checked out a car today for my brother in law , its a 76 HJ8WQ69 GTS sedan , slate black trim , absinth yellow paint. factory 308 T400 with 308 diff by the ID plates. Mechanically very sound , interior is like new with golfball trim and red stripe, factory front and rear spoiler intact. second owner car with books around 220000klm It has original paint with faded GTS decals the odd bit of rust nothing major, cars drives well. Owner wants $5000 no offers car would need paint and rust repair to be cond 1. sound fair or is it worth more ?

It will be worth more one day. But spend $2,500 on rust and paint - $7,500 is cheap for a nice Monaro. |

In NZ nearly finished HQ Monaro's are selling for $10K. A rough shell with no interior, trim or engine is going for $2.5K. I`m talking him around , if he buys it he will look at selling his FB special which may appear on here if he does its yellow with white flash all stock .
