Hi just wondering if all ford 250 4.1 litre engines are called 250 crossflows or is there such thing as just a ford 250 engine. Also do 2v heads fit onto 250 crossflow engines?

The Crossflow 250 has the carb and exhaust manifolds on opposite sides of the head (actually, this is true for all crossflow motors). The early 250's had the exhaust and inlet manifolds on the same side of the head and are known as pre-crossflow heads. Edited by user Thursday, 3 August 2006 4:43:26 AM(UTC)

a pre crossflow block is 1/2" narrower than a crossflow block.most things can be done but the cost would be mind boggling.
