is all steering racks for 6 and 8 the same i am looking for one for a vs 6CYL and see a few on ebay stating vn to vs v8 I think they maybe different ??? cheers Dazza

Hi DAZZA.
The VN has a different input shaft spline to the VP rack, & the VP also has the option of 'Variatronic' steering. There's 3 types that are non-interchangable.
The VR & VS are wider than the VN/VP, suit suit the later car's wider front trac |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
