Where is the engine number and whats the easiest way of reading it. Block is still in car and I need the number for registration.

The engine number is found on the flat section directly above the fuel pump.

Can be a bit hard to see if you are running air con. Get out the torch and if you have to use the wire brush. Rego will demand that the engine # can be seen.

The American Cleveland block I just got rid of had it on the BACK of the block just below the passenger side (LEFT) cylinder head. You needed a torch and a mirror to read it. And its all numbers, this info may be helpful if you have one of these motors an

I got a Canadian Clevo in my car and the numbers are on the drivers side just below the head and yes you need a mirror and a neck like a giraffe to read it.
