What are the differences between the VN, VN 2, VP, VR & VS engines, I know the VN could be either auto or manual but what other differences have are there, and is it true you can use say a VP bottom end with a VS top end?.

thank's kevin

Early VNs (the so called "series 1") had a unique crank for the manual cars.
This motor was constantly updated, with 2 big changes - one in Nov 89, and another - the VP spec motor in 1991.
The heads & manifold changed the PCV layout, the rockers & suppo
Cheers,

Mick
