iv got myself a very good 6cyl electronic dizzy from a commodore that will fit a 186 motor,but were do i get the 12 volt power supply to run it?which wire and were?.

firstly, yu need the proper coil as well or you will go nowhere.
There is a pink wire going to the coil from the ignition. This is a resistor wire and must be deleted.
Find a terminal on the fuse box that is live when the ignition is on, and stays live
