Recently had a heater tap split on me in my hx. It is a vac operated unit because i have a WB stato dash. The vac line that runs onto the unit is connected directly to the unit and has no connection with the controls in the car. Given this, the heater tap is always in the closed position if the engine is running. Never noticed this before as the heater always worked, i assume this was due to the dodgy tap before. Any advice on how these vacumn lines should run would be great! thanks guys.

It should be coming from your heater switch, which in turn should be getting vacuum from the manifold. HZ's & WB's with a/con have the same vacuum operation. If you look at the switch from behind, I think from memory, the top nozzle goes to the tap, t

If your vent controls inside the car are all cable operated it would be easier to get a cable operated heater valve from Repco or similar (Holden if still available)or even the wreckers to score the cable also and hook up as standard. If you do not have v
