have sort of gone off the 202 idea now after seeing another fellow toranian putting in a 253. apparently all that needs modifying is brakes and a weld modified on the chassis to make room for the starter to get it engineered? i would have though at least brakes, suspension, chassis and mounts would all have to be done. has anyone done this before or knows what needs doing? thanks for any input.

I don't see the point of a 253. Extra weight for very little gain. You are better off talking to Mark off the following post: http://www.fastlane.com....PIC_ID=3470&whichpage=20and buying his 235 stroker. However a 308 is another ma |

i have a 253 in great condition for sale, and it comes with a holley 390, dizzy, alternator and brackets, i have just rebuilt this engine, and yes byron a 253 is actually alot better performance wise than the 202, and it uses less petrol! I'm in Sydney.
