Hi my statesman is not idling on gas, it wont start on gas and will only run once the revs are over the 1500mark. Out on the highway there is no problems with the way it runs on gas its just that when you come up to traffic lights and that you have to ride the brake to keep the revs up to it.
The convertor is an impco model e type. I took it into a gas place but they told me I would have to get a new one which they conveniently had in stock for $400. Were they trying to take me for a ride?
Cheers

Dunno,

The only simple thing I could think of checkin would be a vacuum leak between the gas dispenser and the carb/injs, otherwise it would hafta be in the gas mixture unit itself (electrical, mechanical ?).

(PS A can of wd40 works well to identify
