am looking at a 186 with a supposed yella terra head on it.
I asked for the casting numbers on the head which is given as follows.."2811930 holden d192 7 .L."

Can someone tell me if its a genuine YT head please, whast do the numbers equate to?

Have looked over the oldholden and couldnt find much info.. and the YT site is still under construction...blah blah blah

While YT do make their own new head castings these days (mainly alloy AFAIK), the vast majority of YT heads are/were normal Holden castings that have been thru their remanufacturing process. This is why they

The usual things to look for are:

double valve springs

Large valve heads

YT on valve head

a small steel pipe insert in inlet port

milled combustion chamber (but you would have to have a pic of a stock head for comparison)
