Does any one have a list of specs and facts for the HQ SS.
There seems to be a lot of details about but no overall data sheet.
I have a HQ parts book that list the SS but the first few pages are damaged.
Any imfo and pics would be usefull

I have a 11/72 SS lettuce alone green, u can tell an SS by the trim code as this is unique to the model 10C is type 1 and 10D is type 2 , 1600 type 1 were made and 1200 type 2= 2800 HQ SS production.

I am trying to find out information on the HQ SS. I have a HQ Belmont (SS?) that I am trying to verify. Perhaps the forum can assist?

The Body ID Plate states:
Model HQ 80269
Body no 29542B
Trim 1859 10D
Paint 567 15338
Trans M20
Axel GV2

The Id codes of trim must be 10C or 10D, your 10D would have had raydo flax cloth inserts originally, if yours are all vynil someone has changed them or re-done them at one time, if the ID plates have the original rivets and havent been removed it may be

I eventually will have to paint the car, at the moment the guards & nosecone are primered however the bonnet still has the SS stripes on it. Can anyone help with the size and location of the front stripes?

Thanks Dave,

I can only see the GTS stripes for the HQ there, I have just been sourcing as many pictures of the cars as I can but was hoping that someone who has one would be able to take a couple of measurements of the nosecone and guards for me.

with regard to hqss's initial post re specs you probably have these links but there are some original specifcations for the ss from these sources. The first link has a magazine road test from when they were new.
