Hi Folks
I was looking at buying a new car and the hard sell was on getting their paint protection treatment but the price ranges from $795.00 to $1200.00 for the protection treatment.
Does anyone know what they actually put on the paint to protect it and is it worth what they are asking.
Aren't most new cars 2-pak and a much better wearing surface? Or am I showing my ignorance? Don't be too quick to answer the second question!!
Thanks

I was told that you can do it yourself for about $40, using Meguirs Gold or Mothers make a similar product. I did it to my SS ute and to the CV8 and it does work well. Basically a really good quality Canuba wax. Please research it first though. Maybe ask Edited by user Tuesday, 26 September 2006 10:03:01 PM(UTC)

Hi Guys.
The change to 2 Pak paint in the VR series was earlier than series 2. It was 1st seen in Feb '94 for the Statesman & Caprice intro & then used on all VR from March onwards.
Series 2 VR was introduced on 7 June 94.

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
