Hi guys,
My HK has a 186 with 186S manifold and carbi, and also has electronic dizzy in it and is dying up hills once it gets warm (only once it gets warm... it's fine when it's still cold). If I give it a bootfull of fuel I can keep it going for a little while, but then it dies again (even on flats now!). It's also getting worse the more I drive it.

Any ideas guys? I've been told it could be the module on the dizzy, but I'm not sure.

Thanks,
Cary

Fit new fuel filter. The car runs when cold because the choke is on, when the engine warms up and choke opens the mixture is too lean because the filter is blocked and not allowing fuel through. could also be a blockage in the carby but replace the filter

I agree with johnperth. Try the fuel filter if it has one, if it still there after that. If you keep pumping the accelerator does it pick up speed, if it does the carby is running out of fuel,(you should get about three pumps before it uses the fuel in th
