Hi guys,

I have just recently accuired a HT rolling shell. I got a VS 185kw 5 litre to put in it. It is a manual computer and loom, so that will suit the T350. So the motor is in ready to go, BUT, I have no idea on how to rig up the fuel system or wire the commodore loom into the existing HT loom.

Is there anyone out there that has done this conversion that can point me in the right direction with these tasks. Last thing I want to do is fry the computer.

I have toyed with the idea of cutting a hole in the fuel tank and putting in a commodore fuel pump. Is this the way to go?? or is there an easier way??

Cheers

Hi Paul,

I can't offer you any help here but I have heard and read that this conversion is particularly hard.

I think one of the main problems with this conversion is the number of different inputs the later engine computers need to run. They get i

The conversion itself is easy, just change the sump and pickup over to a HT/HG 253 or 308 one. Also use HT/G mounts. The TH350 will bolt straight up and use a V8 powerglide crossmember, speedo cable and tailshaft. You will also be able to use a HT/G trima

Thanks Byron, you certainly know your stuff. It does sound a bit daunting. But I have time on my side, if I take it one job at a time I should be fine. Thanks for your help.

Has anyone out there done the conversion that I can see pics of and stuff??

Have a look at Pat Gardiner's V6 conversions website. I'm not sure if he has HK-HG photos but there will be HQ-WB photos, which is pretty much the same thing.
Also look at http://members.ozemail.com.au/~brettsueferguson/index.htm
Although it's a V6 all
