I am trying to find out what paint code "k" is on an xa ford coupe , apparently the car used to be painted wild plum does this match up as "k" ?

Yes, wild plum is either E or K for XA. Is it a white interior?

no it is black but it has been changed from xa on outside to a cobra replica , guy I bought car off said he was told wild plum were all GTs do you know if this is true ?

swanny, your car is a falcon, not a GT. Though why you would want to make a cobra replica has me baffled. Keep the thing XA if it hasn't been too far butchered.

all the outside panels are xc and has been painted like cobra inside same except for dash . only just bought it , it has 250 with 2v head which is why i didn;t think it was gt. would have been nice but

I think I have seen pics of your car. Was it on ebay or aussiemusclecar sales not that long ago? How much rust is in the old girl? Are you going to keep it a six or drop a V8 in?

yes ebay , because i am in south australia my father is picking up on week end so i havent seen it yet . still undecided as yet will probably decide when i go home at christmas . i sold xb coupe to my sister ages ago so i still have some coupe bits and al

when it comes time to chasing any spares let us know, there are quite a few different places out there now selling different repo parts from interiors, switches, rust repair panels and fibreglass panels. Don't forget to check for any water leaks and rust
