just wondering what the best sealent is to use on a 308 inlet manifold.

Either a complete 1-piece factory valley cover gasket, or use the aftermarket inlet port gaskets and a bead of blue silastic instead of the cork. Make sure both faces are clean, put the manifold gaskets on, put on a good bead of silastic on front and rear
