V8 LS with 308, trimatic and 2.78:1 rear axle.

Champagne metallic with chestnut cloth trim.

That is all info that you can get from the plate, other options are not listed.

Jabba, have you got any photos of this advertised car. I'd be interested to see them, and to know the options on it.

By the way, I'm not after one, I already have one. Not trying to move in on your prospective purchase. :-)

go to www.trademe.co.nz, then to motoring, and search for holden monaro prior to 1980. There are a few there. It is the gold 72 LS.

Thanks for the link Jabba. Nice straight car. Quite a few non-standard things there (mechanical/front seats/GTS steer wheel), but certainly a good looking car for a daily driver.

There are another couple on there as well. I am leaning more towards the green one (as the gold has about 5G to spend on it, and the green has a seriously strong engine, tidy interior, no rust and is only 2G more).

I agree. The green one is better than the gold one was. In the current climate of Monaro prices on the way up, it might be a good price; although I'm not familiar with what's happening in NZ.

Good luck. Gerard.

You can use the setails on the long skinny tag to find eng, trans, rear axle, steering, brakes, ventilation. They do not hold any other info at this point in time, so they cannot help with colour and trim.
