May have the need in the future (next year) to buy another car for travelling across NSW, as the Overlander is probably not that suitable.
Been looking at VY and VZ 1-tonners. Wanted a v8 so that means an S pack. But looked at an X6 today, but for some stupid reason holden didn't make the single cab in a V8 - you have to buy an X8.
Can anyone tell me in the VZ how much difference (apart from the engine and harness/ECU/radiator etc) there is betwen an X6 and an X8? Does the new V6 have the same bellhousing pattern as the GenIII?
You've probably already guessed the intention - buy an X6, and get whatever I need out of an Adventra, Cross8 or whatever for a V8 conversion. Hopefully the boxes are the same so any VY V8 will do, and I don't have to search for a wrecked 4WD version.

That would mean the Overlander will be for sale. 1 of 125 total. 1 of 3 1-tonners. Will have an EFI 5L by then. LPG. Original Ambulance pack (GTS dash, prem front, buckets, column shift TH400, 308). Very rare as a 2WD tonner ie 308, TH400, 3.36 diff off the assembly line. Let me know if anyone may be interested in the future. Talking 6-12 months time.

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

No air, no overdrive, lack of LPG inland NSW and dreadful highway economy on PULP as compared to a VY/VZ. Revs way too hard at 110kM/h with about the biggest tyres I can fit under it (275/70/16 - 285/75/15 don't fit) and the tallest ratio possible in a Da
