1967 HR Panel Van Located: Halls Gap, Victoria

The P-Van has fully operational X2 gauge cluster, premier consol fan heater, original HR accessory handbrake warning light, glove box light and windscreen washers.

Suspension has heavy torsion bar in the front and a sway bar added to the rear. It drives really well as a result performing pretty well around corners for a HR. It has power boosted HR disc front-end brakes with standard drums on the back.

It has an original 186S out of a HK Monaro that was wrecked back in the 80’s. The motor hasn’t been touched since and is factory original inside and is only now getting tired. I can hear lower compression on one cylinder and the oil pressure takes a little while to come up on starting when cold. Still going well though with 40 psi of pressure when going and it is not burning oil. If I was going to keep it I would put the money into doing the motor up, but since I am going to sell there is not a lot of sense me putting all that money into it. It has the original Aussie four-speed out of the Monaro behind it running to a .308 diff centre at the back. The gear box jumps out of first sometimes these days if it is not pushed right into gear, apparently a warn syncro ring inside the box. Other than that the gearbox is tiptop.

Body wise it still looks pretty good after re-spray 10 years but is starting to become a little rough in places. Pretty right for rust with a bit in the corner of the left door, the guards were off a wreck in Melbourne and are still in excellent condition. I have rust proofed inside all panels and have sprayed oil every couple of years inside doors / body and guards. The right hand side door was re-skinned so is still in excellent condition. Paint is bubbling a bit in places and a few cracks have appeared in areas that were filled.

Price is $4000 with RoadWorthy Certificate
