hi everyone. this is my first post and i would just like to introduce myself to you all. my name is anthony, im 17 and i live in sydney. i was never really into cars untill my dad needed to buy a new one. he had an el falcon that was hit by another car. we decided to look around. he was thinking between an xr6t or an ss. he went to the holden dealer and he forgot about the ss and went straight to an 04 monaro. he test drove and he liked it but not for the price at the time. this was last year and the man wanted 50 grand for it, it was auto and had a few ks already up on it. i said to him lets try ford before you sign any papers. we went to the dealer and he was very friendly. we test drove a used xr8 with an after markit exaust. its sounded sweet but the colour wasnt very striking. we were going to try an xr6 when the man said why not a gt?its a 6 speed manual.rapid with black stripes. it was too expensive but my dad wanted to drive it so he can atleast say he has driven one. 10 minutes later we were back at ford with huge smiles on our faces, dad and mum signing papers. we have never looked back and im so glad he has gotten this car.i have driven it twice lol 1 more time then my mum. ever since then i have tried to watch every v8 supercar race and i just got craig lowndes' and james courtney's signitures on our hats. thanks for spending some time to get to know me and i really look forward to buying my first car which will be no doubt a ford.cheers
