i need help working out whats wrong with my fuel gauge. sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt mostley doesnt nowdays. im not sure how to workout what part is not working. iv check the wiring and its alright how do you test the sender unit and gauge? cheers nehelp is appreciated

Kraul,
You could try placing the wire at the sender to earth and get someone to watch the gauge. It should go from full to empty as you make and break the contact. If the gauge does move, there is more than likely a problem with the sender. You could als

Yep, sender wiring would be my first guess. Check ALL connections between gauge and sender. Wiggle the wiring and connectors around with the ignition on and have someone watch the gauge. Any change in the gauge's behaviour is where the problem area is. Al
