Hi, I have a HZ ute that was an abandoned project I saved off a mate who with the help of his uncle stripped it,sanded it and lost most of the parts and then let it sit and sit and sit under a cover for a few years. I could not stand it any longer and grabbed it off him with the intentions of putting all WB Caprice bits on but reality has sunk in and unless I can live to a hundered I don't think I will get the time and I really don't have the room to have it sitting around. The reason I grabbed it is it is basically rust free,nothing in the plenums or around the screen or the sills or the tray or the guards or the tail gate, passenger floor has 3 pin holes and one door has some the size of a 20 cent piece the other door is perfect. It has had two rough repairs done, one near the lead wipe in the turret about 4cm x 2cm and one at the back end of the left sill about the last 2cm of the sill. It is an increadibly good ute body wise, I wished I had it before I started cutting and shutting cancer ridden tonner cabs in the effort to get a good one. The ute had surface rust and a lot of bog in rear guards put there by the uncle who thought he could do panel beating oops I mean panel bogging and then gave up (He was actually bogging up the natural Holden body curves giving it that "dickhead I don't what I am doing" flat sided look). I have since sanded all the bog out and revealed its curves and body lines and taken off the surface rust and given it a quick coat of two pack primer just to help protect it. The ute has no interior or glass but it does have all panels and a good running 202.Mechanicaly it does not drive as the brakes do not work(mastercylinder seals)and it has the wrong clutch pedal fitted so it cannot be adjusted correctly. This is definatley a ute that would be stripped and sandblasted, some simple dents taken out and then use the shell to replace the rusted out shell you have been saving up big money to have patched up.
