Hi everyone,
Could we all do a quick fuel consumption check...
My 202 is running a poor 3.3km per litre
I suspect I need my fuel pump/line fixed.

And I used to complain about 4.5s with my 253.
I think maybe a loan, shares in Woolies or Caltex might help. Does anyone in the family own a servo ?
Sure must stand up and go though ?? Cant be just a fuel line/pump. You'd smell and see the fuel leak

My 3.8 VN returned a best figure of 14.5 l/100.
I have swapped for a small vehicle of another manufacturer (but won't embarrass myself by naming) and am currently getting around 7.5 L/100km. Lovely economy, but what an ugly pig of a vehicle.

The wifes 253 did a best of 13L / 100 k's, but was usually around 14.5. The best out of the VT wagon (bye bye 253...) was 9.6L / 100k's on BP ultimate. Does that mean 'incontrasts' fuel consumption is 30.3L / 100k's or have I stuffed the maths!?

since my fuel gauge and speedo don't work i cant give you an exact reading. I have a 202 with 350 holley extractors and 5 speed supra box. I live at The Entrance on the central coast, I went from home to eastern creek for the nostalgic drags sunday week

Thats crazy incontrast... My 179 returns 11.8kms/litre on the highway @ 115km/h avg, and around 9.1kms/litre in town... Thats from a worked motor that has run 14's on 3.08:1 diff in a torana. My old 202 suffered 12kms/litre with the same diff gearing (

My 383 chev would do 17mpg, and the 377 was 16mpg.(377 had a lot bigger cam) Both would still do 14mpg towing my race car&trailer which weighed about 1.5 ton. My C'dore wagon does 9.6-10lt/100k with mafless tune, extractors etc.
