Hi guys,
After spending a shitload of money on getting special HQ disks with HK stud pattern, I get them home and proudly install them, and I gotta admit they look trick. Now here's the problem. After attempting to bolt up the HK rim. It doesnt fit. It fouls on the caliper. Are the HQ and HK rims wildly different offsets??
This is on a HK, with HQ disk brakes on the front.
So what are my options, can I space the wheels out so they fit?? grind away the caliper so they fit?? or do I get new wheels made up that have a HK centre but have the HQ offset??
Any ideas??
cheers

You can get your HK rims re-set to whatever offset you need, as long as the diameter is not the problem, unless there is an easier way?

The HK has a different offset to the HG and HT, that is why you can't use HK rims on the EH etc conversions, because they rub on the body .

I've done it on my HK, I used a small spacer and ground a fair bit of the caliper. Works ok but theres not much clearance, I'm looking into changing to commodore stud pattern and brakes running a nice set of mags and putting the original wheels on the sh
