my son was doing a renovation from an old house in Port Melb, and he found a herald newspaper, dated feb. 1969. XR GT FalconS, Cortina GT'S, Brand new Broughams, HK Prems, all under $4000. great reading

Lots of older houses used newspapers as insulation, its amazing what you can find in the cieling space. A friend in the roofing trade found a lot of old EH stuff once.
Wonder if in 40 years time someone will find a current newspaper and be amazed at ca

The old paper insulation usually went under lino (linoleum), the plastic pattern stuff on a tar base. Can see anyone unsing papers under lino these days.
But yet to see stuff from 69 under lino or carpet is odd. Way too late. The last papers I saw in t
