Hello,
I need some advice on what gearbox can be fitted to an fj still running a grey motor without changing the size of the transmission tunnel? I've nearly finished restoring the car, and the first time I drove it any distance it became very clear that the crash box ain't what she used to be. Will a syncro 3-speed or m20/m21 fit the tunnel and will it bolt up to the grey motor using a red motor clutch and bellhousing or do I need an adapter plate or bellhousing? Also does anywhere like CRS make a crossmember or can it be reasonably easily modified.
Thanks

Rod

Af far as i know, the only gearbox that will fit easily is another crash box, or an opel 4 speed
