G'day guys just got the engine number off the v8 in my Sandman, would you guys be able to decipher it for me? It reads:

Q(maybe O?)R 99 11 56


WANTED: HJ Sandman parts, PM me!

WANTED: GTS rims, seats and mirrors to suit HJ.

That would be QR, HC 253

Hi Guys.

Yes. a QR prefix is a hi-comp 253 V8 out of an HQ/HJ/HX/HZ, but the number '991157' makes it a 1978 HZ 253 V8.
