hey,
could anyone tell me how to take out my old ignition barrel so i can put a new one in?i've tried by taking the steering wheel off first, then the centre nut off, but i cant take the rest off to get to the barrel, is there some special way to get to it?

I take it it is an HQ to VL, so you will need to remove the blinker mechanism.

there is a hidden tongue. if the barrel has been replaced before you will be able to see it by removing the blinkers as warren says. If the barrel hasn't been removed before the tongue is hidden under a thin piece of alloy casting that needs to be broken |

Unscrew it. Turn right, remove the screw, turn left remove the other screw polus the third one. Disconnect the harness, unscew the stalk and it'll pull out.
