hi guyz.this afternoon i went to the shops,got something,came back 10 mins later.try to start the car,but nothing. no instrument lights,gauges are deadnot even a click from the starter,absolutely nothing.hooked up a jumpleads but still no electric.fuses are ok,everything looks in place on engine.its simply dead.any idea what went wrong with in that 10 mins?please help

So your saying the battery is completely dead have you taken out the battery and replaced it with a new one - now what happened, it might be the regulator.

thanx for all replys.if the battery even completely dead,i reckon with a jump start it should be cranking a bit at least or little bit of light on the ignition.basicaly looks like, as if the battery was removed.

follow the positive lead down to the starter motor..hows the wires look on the solenoid cap...is the small purple? wire connected?

If you have a charged battery and there is no power at the fuse box (ie no lights or dash lights) it sounds like the fusable link down near the starter motor to me.

There are plenty of mobile auto electricians out there give one a call and have this sorted now.

i short the starter terminal on the starter to the battery lead terminal.starter just clicking but no crank.i also try same thing with a wire from + battery terminal to + coil terminal,this time with ignition on, lights came back,my wife try to start it u

wb is up and on again.just for a future reference for everyone.it was a loose nut that connect and hold the positive wire from battery onto starter solenoid.next time you have similiar problem,check that spot first.thanx for all replys and merry Xmas to |

If ever needed the fusable link is the wire that also bolts on with your main + cable at the starter. The fusable link is the first few inches of the wire.The wire should start black in colour then change to red. The black section is the link.Just another
