Guys,

Pulled my 308 down this afternoon and have a quick question. What would be causing number 7 exhaust valve to be almost white while the rest all appear to be dark in colour? Is this a mixture issue?

A quick diagnose would be water.

Its hard from a pic but it looks lean on that cyl.If water enters a cylinder it tends to clean the carbon up in that cylinder. If it is cleaner in no 7 than the rest as well as the valve it may be a water problem.A clearer pic and one of the piston will
