Hi All,
Can anyone please tell me if the 253 in the WB utes/vans came out as high compression AND low compression? What are the engine codes of them, I believe the blue engine codes are different to the red ones.

They use the same prefix from vc to vh. Eg- VR....H/comp

WR for the high comp engine which was the only one available (L36 option code). There is no mention of 11WR blocks in export Statesmans like there is in the HZ parts catalogues either.

Thanks Byron, that'll help me in identifying if the WB ute I'm looking at is a factory V8 or not.

The engine code in the VIN will help too ie R instead of L or M.
