i was just wondering if anyone new the prices for a rebuild for a VT V6.
i did my big end the other night and need to find a new one. Or what i would like to do is put a v8 in it, but is there much converstion to putting a V8 in>? I dont no to much about cars atm just learning so any advice would be great, thanks.

In my honest opinion, this is what I would do.
Buy a secondhand engine from a wreckers. You are looking at less than $1,500, possibly fitted with warranty for that price. VT V6's are getting very cheap even as a complete registered car, so wrecks are onl |

Alright cool. Thanks for the advice, i live in Coffs Harbour so its kinda close to newwy, so i shall give them a call, i was thinking about selling my VT until this happend, but i dont think i have the money to upgrade the whole car. thanks again

not puttin an 8 in anymore i dont think, just going a VY V6, hopfully will do the cams and a few more things. :( i wanted an 8 :( but i think its a bit to pricy. Any andvice of engine upgrades i should do? thanks again karl. Edited by user Wednesday, 10 January 2007 3:19:16 AM(UTC)
