Hey all. I need to call on your collected knowledge, as I have little of my own when it comes to old holdens. (My main 2 cars are Japanese imported Nissans. Yeah, I know what youre all saying, but hear me out). One of my other cars is a HJ Belmont Ute (with a HZ Premier nose). It has a red 202 with genie extractors and a V8 radiator (some of the many mods I have done). Shes not in the greatest condition (read: rusty pass dr, windscreen cowl, and floor) but shes my daily driver and I love her. I am trying to find out what type of instrument cluster is fitted in it. The cluster has the long (american style) speedo, with 3 smaller gauges to the left (Fuel, Temp, Oil Press). There is no clock, tacho or volts gauge. I know that this in NOT a Belmont dash. So what is it? Next question: I am trying to hook up the heater, but am unsure which side of the thermostat housing the heater hoses are run from. (Seems to be 2 hose connections on either side). Apart from no hoses connected, I have fixed up the rest of the heater/vent system. Any assistance or pointers in the right direction would be very much appreciated (esp when I dont have to wear gloves and a parka to drive the car in winter!). Cheers.

Hi DieselDog.
That instrument cluster was a factory option (PO UD1) & is quite rare. They were available for all commercials, Belmonts & Kingswoods. They won't fit Premiers or LSs, they have a temp gauge & clock standard. Also, of course they don't fit |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
